Expanding its accessories range, women’s wear designer Anjul Bhandari has launched a new range of traditional Awadhi Batua handbags titled ‘Naaz’.
The range compliments Bhandari’s feminine traditional wear. It features hand-embroidered Chikankari and Mukaish bags with pearl and crystal bead handles. It also features straps with beaded fringing. The bags also have a ‘Anjul Bhandari’ logo embedded on it.
Besides handbags, Bhandari also launched a new bridal and occasion wear collection for the spring wedding season. The collection features heavily embellished sarees, lehengas, and shawls in her signature pastel colour palette. The brand retails its couture, ready-to-wear, and small collection of menswear from its dedicated e-commerce store as well as in luxury multi-brand stores including Aashni + Co, Ogaan, Ensemble, and Aza Fashions.
Launched in 2021 in New Delhi, the eponymous brand of Anjul Bhandari specializes in traditional embroidery techniques from Awadh. The brand currently works with over 1,500 craftspeople to create custom Ek Taar sarees that take around two years to manufacture.
