Zara opens largest South India outlet in Bengaluru
14 September 2024, Mumbai
Owned by Inditex, global fashion brand owned Zara has opened its largest South India outlet at the Phoenix Mall of Asia in Bengaluru.
Spanning over 36,000 sqft, the new store introduces several advanced technological features that integrate its online and physical shopping platforms. These include self-checkout options with cash payments, fitting room reservations, in-store product pickup, store availability checks, and the ability to locate products via the Zara app. Additionally, the store offers dedicated return counters for both online and in-store purchases, along with smart fitting rooms.
The outlet features 13 self-checkout counters spread across all sections, along with six regular cash counters. A notable addition is a boutique space exclusively for Zara’s baby collection, the first of its kind in any Zara store in India.
A part of the Inditex Group, Zara first entered the Indian market in May 2010 through a joint venture between Inditex and Tata Group, called Inditex Trent, which owns 49 per cent of Zara India. The brand's debut store opened at Select City Walk mall in New Delhi.
Apart from Zara, the Phoenix Mall of Asia also hosts an array of global brands including H&M, Ferragamo, Boss, Emporio Armani, Versace, Tod’s, Mango, and more, offering a diverse shopping experience for customers.
