Celio organizes supplier engagement event in Paris

24 October 2025, Mumbai

French fashion and lifestyle brand Celio held a two-day supplier engagement event in Paris on October 16–17, 2025, bringing together its key Bangladeshi partners to solidify and expand a strategic partnership.

The event focused on three main areas to move beyond a simple buyer-supplier relationship to a true, long-term partnership that enhances the overall supply chain, innovation and product development with a focus on future fashion trends, product development innovation, and implementing traceability systems, and sustainability and circularity where a major emphasis was placed on aligning with global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) priorities, driving responsible sourcing, and advancing sustainability and circularity goals across Celio's operations.

Celio currently sources about 70 per cent of its total apparel products from Bangladesh, underscoring the country's central and trusted role in the brand's global sourcing strategy.

Celio expressed keen interest in expanding its sourcing in Bangladesh, citing the country's strong compliance record, innovation capabilities, and growing sustainable production practices, particularly the transition toward green factories and renewable energy use.

The event included 20 leading garment suppliers from Bangladesh, as well as representatives from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

Essentially, through this partnership, Celio aims to secure its main production base while leveraging Bangladeshi suppliers' increasing capacity for high-value, innovative, and sustainable apparel manufacturing.
