Bengaluru-based activewear brand, Technosport has expanded its retail offerings with the launch of its third EBO in Hyderabad at the newly minted Lakeshore Mall, Kukatpally.
This move is part of a broader ‘organized retail blitz’ fueled by a $25 million Series A infusion from A91 Partners. While international giants often focus on premium metro cores, Technosport is strategically penetrating high-density urban corridors like Kukatpally, leveraging a tech-forward shopping experience to bridge the gap between ‘value’ and ‘performance.’
More than just a storefront, the Lakeshore Mall outlet serves as a physical showcase for Technosport’s vertically integrated R&D. The store features India’s first Holoflex transparent LED screen, creating a high-impact digital facade that mirrors the brand’s focus on futuristic textile engineering. Shoppers can interact with garments powered by Technocool+, TechnoGuard, and UPF 50+ sun protection technologies - innovations that have driven a staggering 83 per cent walk-in conversion rate across their national network. The brand aims to make international-grade performance wear accessible to the Indian fitness enthusiast, says Puspen Maity, CEO, Technosport. By integrating advanced POS systems and immersive visual merchandising, they are setting a new benchmark for the mid-segment athleisure experience, he adds.
Scaling towards the Rs 1,000 crore milestone
This Hyderabad launch is a critical node in Technosport’s Rs 200 crore expansion roadmap, which targets 300 EBOs nationwide within the next 24 months. With EBO revenues currently doubling year-on-year, the brand is on a rapid trajectory to increase revenues from Rs 600 crore in revenue by FY26, up from Rs 382 crore in FY24. The strategy is synchronized with an Indian activewear market projected to grow at a 12.2 per cent CAGR through 2030. To sustain this pace, the company is diversifying its supply chain with a new Rs 100 crore manufacturing facility in Odisha, complementing its existing Tirupur base. This vertical integration allows Technosport to maintain its price-competitive edge while scaling its ‘Made in India’ performance wear to capture a 10 per cent share of the burgeoning domestic sports apparel market.
Founded in 2015, Technosport has transformed from a general trade player into one of India’s most formidable vertically integrated activewear brands. The brand designs and manufactures high-performance activewear, including gym wear, athleisure, and outdoor gear, utilizing in-house fabric technologies.
