Bata India registers 1.2% growth in Q3, FY25 net profit

Leading shoemaker Bata India registered a 1.2 per cent rise in its Q3, FY25 net profit to Rs 58.7 crore as against Rs 57.97 crore profit in Q3, FY24.

The brand’s revenues from operations increased by 1.69 per cent to Rs 918.79 crore during the quarter. Achieving a ‘volume-led revenue growth, the company’s EBITDA margin expanded by 141 basis resulting in a PAT of Rs 58 crore.

Total expenses for the quarter increased to Rs 840.57 crore while total income rose by 1.54 per cent Y-o-Y to Rs 928.65 crore. Despite a muted demand, Bata managed to gain volume during the quarter, says Gunjan Shah, Managing Director and CEO.

The brand registered a double-digit growth in Hush Puppies, through its premium offerings. It also witnessed a robust growth in its e-commerce channel with a new and revamped website, Shah adds.

Bata has managed to enhance its market position by through omni-channel initiatives like entry into quick-commerce and a continuous expansion in newer towns. The brand remains optimistic about a recovery in demand and driving volume-based revenue growth through its affordable products.
