Decathlon begins listing other brands’ products on e-commerce store

In order to simplify online shopping experience for its consumers, sportswear and equipment retail brand Decathlon India has begun to list products by other brands on its India e-commerce store. The brand will continue to remain a single brand retail business even as it redirects shoppers to these other brands' own websites for purchasing.

Decathlon conducts billing and order fulfillment for other brands’ goods on their respective e-commerce sites. The company retails a multi-brand selection of goods across many of its stores globally. As per FDI rules in India, the government allows 100 per cent FDI in e-commerce only those companies that do not hold any of the inventory themselves.

Decathlon previously also held meetings to discuss the possibility of retailing multi-brands goods in its Indian stores.
