Iconix Lifestyle India acquires Lee Cooper rights

Iconix Lifestyle India has acquired India trademark rights for British denim brand Lee Cooper. Iconix is a joint venture unit of Reliance Brands. Now, Reliance Brands will be able to manufacture and distribute Lee Cooper products in India.
Incepted in 1908, with a heritage in denim, Lee Cooper is today a multi-category, dual-gender brand with a presence across 126 countries through 7,000 points of sale. The brand launched in India over a decade ago and caters to men, women, and children. Denim is the main product and contributes nearly 90 percent of the business in bottom wear and around 50 percent in top wear.
Lee Cooper considers the young and the youthful, who exude attitude and confidence at all times, as its core target customers. They look cool without trying too hard. For next season, Lee Cooper is planning to launch a complete range of classic fashion, on-trend fashion and high fashion denim. For women, Lee Cooper introduced more than 10 silhouettes in denim tops.
The brand’s ozone washing technology replaces harmful chemicals with alternative drop-in chemicals, which significantly reduce water and energy consumption making it sustainable for the environment. Lee Cooper’s laser technology to has helped tremendously to replicate the look of traditional denim with minimum effort and time.
