Homegrown footwear brand Neeman’s plans to achieve a turnover of Rs.400 crore over the next two years. The brand also plans to expand to 100 stores over the period. It aims to expand to Tier II and III cities as part of its offline retail strategy. In the last six to eight months, it has opened stores in cities including Indore, Kozhikode, Trivandrum, and Lucknow.

Founded by Amar Preet Singh and Taran Chhabra in 2018, Neeman’s was established with the mission to develop versatile footwear that can be worn at multiple occasions. The brand offers footwear with uncomplicated designs and subtle, minimal, and neutral colourways, making them wearable on a variety of occasions. It also offers affordable pricing in India’s price-sensitive market.

Till date, Neeman’s has sold to over 30 lakh customers date with a healthy customer repeat rate of 34 per cent, highlights Singh. The brand adopts an omnichannel approach to cater to consumers across online and offline touchpoints. On the online front, it is available on marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and Zepto, alongside its own direct-to-consumer website. In mid-2023, the brand forayed into offline retail, and has opened 18 exclusive brand stores over the last 24 months.

Presently, the majority of the brand’s business comes from online channels. Their offline retail contributes to roughly 18 per cent of the overall business, shares Chhabra.

The brand is also exploring quick commerce as a channel for reaching out to new consumers. Apart from its presence on Zepto, it plans to go live on other platforms in the upcoming months. Committed to adopting sustainable practices in manufacturing, Neeman’s has a dedicated team with a mix of product design and sourcing expertise that works with best-in-class partners such as GRS, GOTS, and Woolmark to identify responsible materials for product development.

Moreover, the brand plans to set up a dedicated innovations lab for experimenting with new materials for making products in future. It leverages AI technology in colorway development, 3D modeling, and CAD simulation in designing, adds Chhabra.
