Leading Indian institution for creative education, Pearl Academy made a significant return to London Fashion Week in partnership with Fashion Week & The City (FWTC) with four of its designers launching their collections at this prestigious event.

Held at St. John Church, Hyde Park, the Pearl Academy Show highlighted the institution’s approach to nurturing well-rounded creative professionals, blending technical expertise with artistic vision. As the fashion industry becomes increasingly global, Pearl Academy is bridging the gap for its students and alumni by providing international platform access.

The designers were selected after extensive mentoring at Pearl Academy, where they developed the skills and confidence needed for an international runway. Featuring a blend of aesthetics, craftsmanship, and innovation, their collection reflected the institution’s commitment to comprehensive education. Each collection honored India’s craft traditions while pushing creative boundaries on the global stage.

Designer Shivika Agrawal’s ‘Teikirshy,’ was inspired by the Toda tribe of the Nilgiri Hills, featuring the ‘pukhoor’ embroidery technique. It blended modern resort wear with indigenous craftsmanship, aiming to preserve this nearly extinct art.

The brand Ryfin by Khushi Agrawal and Satyam Saini reimagined India’s vibrant energy by blending cultural heritage and luxury streetwear. Inspired by Maharashtrian textiles and motifs, the brand’s collection used sustainable banana crepe fabric and modern techniques.

Designer Hermnn Singh’s brand, Gurjot Hermnn The Regal Show, presented ‘Symphony of Art’, a blend of heritage and modernity inspired by artists like Salvador Dalí and Frida Kahlo.

The collection featured tailored jackets, flared skirts, and hand embroidery. Paying a tribute to Bihar’s culture, designer Payal Dawar’s collection featured Madhubani art from Mithila on organic Ghicha Silk. It combined traditional craftsmanship with modern silhouettes for the European market, promoting ethical and sustainable fashion.

Showcased at the London Fashion Week, these collections emphasized on the Pearl Academy’s dedication to developing design innovators. By focusing on mentorship, training, and industry collaboration, the institute equips its students for success in the evolving fashion world.
