As against a loss of Rs 2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, India’s innerwear manufacturer and retailer, VIP Clothing posted a Rs 81 lakh net profit in Q2, FY25.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 13 per cent to Rs 59 crore, compared to Rs 52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Sunil Pathare, Managing Director, VIP Clothing, attributes this growth to an increasing demand for fashionable and comfortable innerwear.
VIP Clothing’s revenue from operations grew by 13 per cent to Rs 59 crore in Q2 FY25 as against revenue of Rs 52 crore in Q2 FY24. This growth was driven by rising demand for fashionable, comfortable innerwear, higher disposable incomes, and increased awareness of hygiene, states Pathare.
Highlighting factors contributing to the company’s success, Pathare says, expanding middle class, rapid urbanisation, and the boom in e-commerce drove the company’s success during the quarter.
The company’s recent fundraising efforts also helped reduce finance costs besides allowing it to focus on increasing sales and improving margins, Pathare adds.
One of India's top intimate apparel companies, VIP Clothing offers a wide range of products across different segments through its popular brands like VIP, Frenchie, Feelings, and Leader. The company’s focus on quality, comfort, and innovative design continues to position it as a key player in the Indian intimate wear market.
