Impressive Business Growth
Indian exporters participating in Amazon's e-commerce exports programme, 'Amazon Global Selling,' experienced a remarkable 70 percent year-on-year surge in business during the Prime Day event.
This success was not limited to major cities; tier-2 and tier-3 cities witnessed significant growth, ranging from 40 to 75 per cent year-on-year.
Among these cities, Panipat took the lead in exporter growth, closely followed by Indore and Jaipur, each boasting a 55 per cent year-on-year increase, and Erode with a 40 per cent growth.
Top Performing Categories
Beauty products secured the highest sales, achieving an impressive 125 per cent year-on-year growth, with apparel not far behind at 122 per cent.
The "home" category also experienced substantial progress, registering an 81 per cent year-on-year growth, while furniture and kitchen products saw 75 per cent and 52 per cent growth, respectively, during the two-day sale on July 11 and 12.
Expanding Export Horizons
The Prime Day event facilitated a significant expansion into new high-growth markets, most notably Japan. Buyers from North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Japan showed keen interest in Indian export products.

With a massive customer base of over 200 million Amazon Prime members worldwide, Prime Day remains a crucial growth period for Indian exporters participating in Amazon Global Selling.

This year's success witnessed thousands of exporters from across the country delivering millions of 'Made in India' products to customers worldwide, underscoring the program's global impact.
