Homegrown menswear label Banana Club is aggressively scaling its brick-and-mortar operations with aim to capture the menswear market in India. The brand aims to reach a milestone of 50 operational stores across India by FY26-end. This rapid infrastructure deployment underscores the firm’s strategy to solidify its presence beyond its traditional southern strongholds. By transitioning from an online-first model to a robust omni-channel player, the brand is targeting high-street locations in key metropolitan hubs to boost consumer engagement. The brand’s vertically integrated model provides the agility to scale rapidly while maintaining the design integrity their customers expect, noted Neel Bafna, Co-founder. With 20 stores currently active, the company is prioritizing a cluster-based expansion approach to enhance market penetration before exploring international entry by 2029.
Financial resilience and strategic outlook
The brand’s expansion is boosted by a strong financial performance, having achieeved an annualized revenue run-rate (ARR) of Rs 150 crore as of March 2026. The firm’s objective is to double this figure, targeting an ARR of Rs 300 crore by 2027. This growth trajectory is supported by a disciplined fiscal strategy, aiming for store-level EBITDA margins between 22 and 24 percent with a rapid outlet payback period of 15 to 18 months. As the organized menswear segment in India continues to favor brands that balance affordability with trend-conscious aesthetics, Banana Club is positioning itself to capitalize on the increasing fashion consciousness in both Tier-I and Tier-II cities.
