Decathlon boosts store count with new flagship store in Mumbai

Sports retailer Decathlon has opened its flagship store at Phoenix Marketcity in Mumbai, taking the total number of stores the brand operates across the nation to 132.
The new two-storey, 11,475 sq ft store offers a wide range of high-quality, affordable sporting goods, apparel, and accessories for over 60 sports. It is designed to offer an enhanced shopping experience with features like a modern layout and streamlined self-checkout counters for a seamless omnichannel experience.
A first for Mumbai, the store includes Decathlon's innovative multi-ball court play area, designed to engage children and encourage an active lifestyle.
According to Sankar Chatterjee, CEO, Decathlon India, the brand’s partnership with Phoenix Marketcity allows it to connect with a diverse community and inspire movement. From expert advice to interactive experiences, the brand aims to empower people to embrace active lifestyles.
The store enables customers to personalize their t-shirts, caps and shoes in just Rs 99 through a custom personalization service. This feature provides customers with the ability to create unique, personalized products.
