IGDS adds Kavindra Mishra, ED & CEO, Shoppers Stop as new Board Member

Kavindra Mishra, Executive Director and CEO, Shoppers Stop, a prominent Indian multi-brand retail chain, has been appointed to Board of Directors, Intercontinental Group of Department Stores (IGDS).
This development highlights the growing influence of Indian retail executives globally. Mishra’s extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to significantly contribute to IGDS's worldwide initiatives and its member network.
Dedicated to keeping its members at the forefront of the industry, IGDS hosts more than 20 global events annually. It provides exclusive industry insights, benchmarks, and trends in innovation. Its core mission is to meet and surpass consumer expectations for quality, discovery, and immersive shopping experiences.
With over 22 years of experience in the retail sector, Mishra has held leadership positions at notable fashion and lifestyle brands including House of Anita Dongre (as Managing Director), Pepe, ABFRL, Benetton, and Arvind.
He assumed the role of Executive Director & CEO at Shoppers Stop on September 1, 2023, succeeding Venu Nair. Under his leadership, Shoppers Stop has strengthened its focus on fashion and beauty, expanded its retail presence, and successfully navigated a robust post-COVID recovery.
