Page Industries’ manufacturing operations shut due to COVID-19 surge

The manufacturing operations of Page Industries in Karnataka have been temporarily suspended i due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in India.

According to Fashion Network, the shutdown is not likely to impact the company’s production volume as it has enough inventory to cater to the needs of its distributors.

The duration of the temporary suspension will depend upon improvement in the situation and health advisory by the government. The manufacturing operations will commence on lifting of the lockdown.

Page Industries is the exclusive licensee of American underwear brand Jockey International and Speedo International for manufacture, distribution, and marketing in India. The company manufactures innerwear, loungewear and socks. The company was founded in 1994 by Sunder Genomal and his brothers Nari and Ramesh; the three brothers combined hold a 54 per cent stake in the company. It is based out of Bangalore, and has manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Hassan, Mysore, Tiptur, Gauribidanur and Tiruppur.
