Ranak is expanding its product selection and retail presence across India. The men’s and boy’s ethnic wear brand is based in Kolkata and since its launch four years ago the business’ revenue has increased by 500 per cent.
Ranak currently counts 15 direct and 50 indirect employees and plans to continue to expand its employee base as the business grows. The ethnic wear retailer counts 70,000 sqft of retail space spread across India with numerous multi-brand retailers and operates a dedicated e-commerce store which houses its full garment offering.
The brand is continuing to add new product lines and recently launched a line of matching occasion wear sets for fathers and sons. The line includes jacket kurta sets, kurta pyjama sets, and Indo-Western sherwani sets in metallic brocades featuring ornate details. Ranak also runs a made to order service through its website which enables shoppers to customise their purchases. The service is designed to offer bespoke fashion at an affordable cost.
Ethnicwear sales this wedding season are expected to surpass the last two years’ sales. About 32 lakh weddings are lined up for this wedding season in the country. Demand for ethnicwear and clothes has significantly surged as compared to the last few years.
