At FDCI x LFW, Nexa presents 'The Spotlight' with Naushad Ali and Swgt

On the first full day of the Fashion Design Council of India and Lakme Fashion Week joint event on October 6, 'The Spotlight' included presentations by Naushad Ali and Swgt with sponsor Nexa at the Fashion Design Council of India and Lakme Fashion Week joint event.

This season's Spotlight exhibit included companies Naushad Ali and Swgt, which were meant to promote up-and-coming talent. Both labels used evocative fashion videos to promote their current collections, with Naushad Ali favouring a vintage style and Swgt drawing inspiration from mountains and the spirit of adventure.

The collection of Naushad Ali began with a beautiful black-and-white film that evoked a romantic image of country life.

The collection combined nostalgia with wearable clothes, with a vintage style and lyrical simplicity.

Checked textiles, unstructured tailoring, and traditional materials paid homage to India's handmade past while also demonstrating how it remains relevant today.

There were also traces of school uniform and loungewear in the men's and women's collections.

Swgt's fashion clip opened with a panoramic shot of stunning mountains, then zoomed in to reveal a model hidden amid the woods.

Swgt's ruffled bonnets, uneven layers, and exquisite details were set against a thick forest setting. The wind flowed elegantly through the thin layers of a model's slate-hued dress as she strolled along a mountain river.

The majestic environment contrasted with the delicate, almost delicate clothes, which were linked by a colour palette of greens, greys, ice blues, and white. Stripes, delicate beaded embellishments, and hats with brims that looked like flower petals were also seen.

The second combined edition of FDCI x LFW runs through October 10th, with showcases streamed on the FDCI's website and social media accounts.

The fashion week is sponsored by TresEmme, Trell, Ajio, and Rise Worldwide, among others, and offers a variety of business-to-business purchasing options for buyers, such as a Virtual Showroom.
