Highlighting key initiatives such as sewing machine distribution and infrastructure investments, he set ambitious goals raising textile exports from $40 billion to $100 billion and growing the market value to $350 billion.

Sustainability and innovation take center stage

This year's edition places a strong emphasis on sustainability, with exhibitors showcasing innovations in organic fabrics, recycled materials, and energy-efficient technologies. Bharat Tex 2025 spans the entire textile value chain, from raw materials to finished products, attracting global buyers, industry leaders, manufacturers, exporters, and artisans. Minister Singh highlighted the scale of international interest, stating, “We have received 6,000 international buyers visiting here to see what is happening.”

Key initiatives and future growth

The event integrates multiple concurrent showcases, including the India Sourcing Conclave, Garment Technology Expo (GTE) 2025, and the debut of DyeChem World. These platforms focus on export growth, advancements in garment manufacturing, and sustainable dyeing solutions.

Additionally, the Bharat Tex 2025-Handicrafts event celebrates India’s artisanal heritage, connecting traditional crafts with global markets. High-level government and business meetings are expected to drive foreign investment, reinforcing India's position as a global textile hub. As Singh put it, “This is the position of India… You should come to this land and do your production here.”
