Panos Mytaros has been appointed as the new Global Chief Executive Officer by the Bata Group effective September 15, 2025. He will succeed Sandeep Kataria, who has been leading the global footwear giant since 2020.
Kataria's tenure as CEO marked a pivotal time for Ba ta. He skillfully steered the company through significant transformation, including the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic and a rapidly changing retail landscape. Under his leadership, Bata notably accelerated its digital initiatives, streamlined operations, expanded into new markets, modernized business practices, and built a strong foundation for future growth.
Mytaros brings over three decades of extensive global leadership experience within the footwear and leather industry to his new position. Prior to joining Bata, he was engaged with ECCO, where he held several senior roles, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer from 2021 to 2024.
