Fabindia expands new rugs range
22 July 2022, Mumbai:
Ethnic wear and lifestyle brand FabIndia has expanded the new rugs range ’Shunya’ to the value of Rs 55,000 to donate to Delhi-based NGO Chintan. Made from recycled PET yarn, the collection aims to convert waste into a usable product.
The brand is also designing its new clothing collection using the ‘Gudri’ technique and offers a Selection of shirts, and kurtas for him Handcrafted clothing for men & for women Cotton kurtas, tops, dresses, and masks, Saree, dupattas, jewellery to match.

The technique enables the brand to stitch together fabric scraps from tailors and textile factories. It enables them to use up rejected, leftover, and unused fabric scraps and reduce textile waste. The brand sources these textiles mainly from Rajasthan and Gujarat, it said.
Through its sustainable initiatives, FabIndia also aims to boost employment opportunities in the country. The business has expanded to total a network of 50,000 artisans, 12,000 farmers, and 900 vendors located across the country.
