In six years, Hunar Haat has employed 6 lakh craftspeople

The Ministry of Minority Affairs' 'Hunar Haat' event will begin on November 10 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. According to the ministry, the event has offered employment to over 6 lakh craftspeople across India.
The 'Hunar Haat' festival in Uttar Pradesh would bring together over 400 craftsmen and craftspeople from more than 30 states and union territories.
“Hunar Haat is bolstering the ‘swadeshi' and ‘vocal for local' campaigns by providing a market and chances for centuries-old traditional and ancestral arts and crafts from India. In addition, it has guaranteed the economic development of indigenous artists and craft workers,"
Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the Union Minister for Minority Affairs, said in a release. "In the previous six years, more than 6 lakh craftsmen, craftspeople, and others linked with us have been granted jobs and employment chances through 'Hunar Haat,'" he continued.
Hunar Haat has become a MoMA signature event, bringing together craftsmen from all around the nation to display handicraft and handloom items under one roof. It has been offering craftsmen and others in India job and revenue-generating possibilities.
Over the following two months, the Hunar Haat will be held in the cities of Lucknow, Hyderabad, Surat, and New Delhi.
