Lifestyle expects demand recovery during festive season

Lifestyle, a part of Dubai-based retail conglomerate Landmark Group, expects apparel demand to recover during the ensuing festive season through both offline and online channels, says an Economic Times report. The company expects demand for apparels and fashion products to have touched 50-60 per cent of the same period last year.

Rishi Vasudev, CEO, Lifestyle and Home Centre says, there is pent up demand amongst consumers who are slowly going for discretionary spending to some extent. According to him, demand for home products like furniture and furnishings has touched 50-60 per cent of the pre-pandemic levels as stores were shut across the country in April and May due to the lockdown. As a brand promotion and marketing exercise, Lifestyle has roped in Bengali film actor Mimi Chakraborty as its ambassador for the Durga Puja festive season. The company currently has four stores -three in Kolkata and Howrah, and one in Siliguri-in West Bengal.
