Puma roped in as Indian squad’s official footwear partner for Paris Olympics

Puma has been announced as the official footwear partner for the Indian contingent to the Paris Olympics. The brand’s partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) will help support Indian athletes by providing them top-notch footwear and sports accessories.

In line with this partnership, Puma has launched an outdoor campaign titled ‘See the Game Like We Do; to honor and celebrate the achievements of Indian athletes.

KarthikBalagopalan, Managing Director, Puma India, states, the brand’s partnership with the Indian Olympic Association will enable it to provide athletes with best-in-class footwear and sports accessories for the upcoming Paris Olympics.Puma’s campaign to celebrate the partnership will recognise the milestones achieved by Indian athletes and inspire both current and aspiring athletes to excel in Olympic sports, he adds.

Through this collaboration, over 100 Indian athletes will receive a range of products, including podium and travel footwear, trolleys, backpacks, sippers, yoga mats, headbands, wristbands, socks, and towels. Notably, 45 of these athletes will comprise the Puma contingent, making it the largest brand-represented squad from India at the Paris Olympics.

Puma has a history of associations with various sports teams, including global and Indian football clubs like Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Mumbai City FC, and Bengaluru FC, as well as IPL teams such as Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals. The brand is also represented by notable ambassadors including cricketer ViratKohli, HarmanpreetKaur, Mohammed Shami, sprinting champion Usain Bolt, football player NeymarJr, and boxing champion MC Mary Kom.
