Apparel brand, ‘The House of Rare’ has launched a new experiential event designed to blend fashion with music, art, and conversation. Titled, RareFore, the event aims to celebrate the cultural richness of India. The recent debut edition featured live music from Kashmiri rabab player Adnan Manzoor and contemporary folk group The Aahvaan Project alongside a performance of dastangoi, the Urdu storytelling tradition, by Himanshu Bajpai.
The event brought together artists, performers, and thought leaders in an immersive setting curated to inspire dialogue and creative expression. A visual layer to the event was added by a community-led installation by The Aravani Art Project, a collective of trans-women and cis-women artists.
Interviews with Shoba Narayan, Shilpa Sharma, Manu Chandra, and Akshika Poddar were also arranged as a part of the event. These explored themes of identity and cultural continuity. A bespoke menu was event was designed by Chef Manu Chandra, complementing the artistic experience with a curated culinary journey.
