Harsh Agarwal takes charge as CEO of Gini & Jony, marks new era for Indian kidswear brand

Suditi Industries Ltd. has officially appointed Harsh Agarwal as the Chief Executive Officer of Gini & Jony, the iconic Indian kidswear brand. The Board-approved appointment has been formally communicated to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), signaling a significant leadership transition for the 45-year-old brand.
Harsh Agarwal steps into the role following the retirement of founder and former CEO Prakash Lakhani, who now assumes a mentorship position within the organization. “Gini & Jony is not just a brand he built, it is his DNA,” said Harsh. “His legacy will continue to guide us.”
As CEO, Harsh aims to transform Gini & Jony into a comprehensive children's lifestyle brand by addressing unmet consumer needs through innovation, imagination, and new experiences. “There is a significant opportunity to redefine the children’s retail space in India,” he noted.
In the short term, Harsh plans to regain business momentum through agility and a first-principles approach, while actively engaging in all operations from product development to customer experience. “We are shedding outdated biases and aiming to lead change in a fast-evolving market,” he said.
Harsh will also continue contributing to Suditi Industries broader strategy, supporting its transformation from a manufacturing-led company to a modern consumer-focused retail group.
