A fashion week simplistically is a fashion industry event, broadly meant to last approximately one week or so, where Design Houses, Fashion Designers, Boutiques, Brands or "Corporate Houses" exhibit their latest collections demonstrating on runway fashion shows/ fashion parades to target buyers, wider audience and the relevant media.
Major fashion weeks are held twice a year. Fashion weeks generally showcase clothes for the seaon/s ahead globally.
