Bharat Tex to showcase India as a global textile hub

Union Textiles Secretary Neelam Shami Rao lauded the efforts of textile industry bodies in organizing Bharat Tex 2025, calling it the largest and most comprehensive textile event ever. She praised the commitment of the Textile Export Promotion Councils and other industry leaders for uniting the entire textile value chain under one platform. Highlighting India’s growing appeal as a sustainable and reliable sourcing hub, she emphasized that Bharat Tex 2025 will reinforce the country’s position as a global investment destination in textiles.
Speaking at the launch of the Bharat Tex 2025 app and website at Udyog Bhawan, she noted that the event is a testament to India’s ambition to become a global textile powerhouse. Organized by 11 major industry bodies and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Bharat Tex 2025 will bring together key players from across the industry to showcase India’s scale, diversity, and capabilities in the textile sector.
Massive participation and key industry highlights
Set to take place across 2.2 million square feet, Bharat Tex 2025 is expected to host over 5,000 exhibitors and welcome more than 6,000 international buyers from 120 countries. The event will attract over 1,20,000 visitors and feature a wide range of exhibits, including apparel, dyes, chemicals, machinery, home furnishings, technical textiles, handlooms, and handicrafts.
The event will also offer over 70 conference sessions, roundtables, and masterclasses, featuring nearly 100 international speakers. Discussions will focus on key industry themes, such as sustainability, investments, manufacturing 4.0, and future fashion trends. In addition to the large-scale trade fair and textile expo, the event will include strategic investment announcements, product launches, collaborations, and B2B and G2G meetings.
Live demonstrations, cultural programs, fashion showcases, designer exhibitions, and sustainability workshops will add to the event’s appeal. Bharat Tex 2025 aims to provide a consolidated platform to highlight India’s strengths in textiles, fashion, traditional crafts, and sustainability initiatives.
