Kewal Kiran owing brand 'Killer Jeans' Q2 profit up

For the second quarter Kewal Kiran Clothing’s profit grew 195 per cent. Revenue for the quarter rose 159 per cent. Kewal Kiran owns brands like Killer, Integriti, LawmanPg3, Easies, and Desi Belle. It began operations in 1992. Killer is the flagship denim brand and caters to the 16 to 24 year old demographic. The format stores called K-Lounge have all these brands under one roof.
Kewal Kiran recently ventured into women’s wear by acquiring Desi Belle, an Indian fusion wear brand. The company currently has 336 retail stores in 210 cities across 25 states and sells on leading e-commerce platforms in India. The company is looking to strengthen its retail presence in the Indian market to take up store count to 500 over the next two years. Out of the 500 stores, about 75 would be medium-size stores.
With strong financials, and good and sustained profitability, the company is aiming for Rs 1,000 crore revenues in the next five years. Geographically the Eastern region contributes 35 per cent to sales, followed by the Southern region at 20 per cent and the Western and Northern region at 20 per cent and 15 per cent respectively. The central region contributes five per cent.
