Apparel Group expands in India with two new brands; BCBG and Ben Sherman

A major fashion and lifestyle retailer, Apparel Group is expanding its presence in India by launching two internationally recognized brands: BCBG and Ben Sherman in the country. This strategic move aims to boost India's premium fashion retail sector by offering global designs and enhanced customer experiences.

According to Tushar Ved, President, Apparel Group India, the Indian fashion market is rapidly changing, with demand for international brands that offer both timeless style and cultural heritage growing. The launch of BCBG and Ben Sherman in India shows the Group’s commitment to bringing world-class fashion and a better shopping experience to Indian consumers, says Ved. These brands perfectly align with the company’s vision to deliver premium, authentic, and globally celebrated fashion to this dynamic market, he adds.

According to Abhishek Bajpai, CEO, Apparel Group India, the modern luxury consumer is globally aware yet appreciative of classic design. With BCBG and Ben Sherman, the group is introducing design legacies that resonate with authenticity, creativity, and a heritage of craftsmanship.

Founded in Los Angeles, BCBG is known for its sophisticated evening wear, sharp tailoring, and elegant silhouettes. The brand is targeting modern Indian women who want versatile wardrobe staples that blend contemporary fashion with classic elegance. An iconic British menswear brand from Brighton, Ben Sherman is famous for its sharp tailoring and mod influences. The brand will appeal to Indian men who appreciate style, creativity, and sartorial tradition.

These collections are now available on Myntra and other prominent e-commerce platforms, making them easily accessible to Indian consumers. This partnership strengthens Apparel Group's role as a key player in global fashion retail in India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This expansion is expected to set new industry standards for premium international brands in India, giving consumers more choices and solidifying Apparel Group’s position as a leader in fashion retail.
