Renowned British footwear company, Clarks has re-entered the Indian market through an exclusive, long-term agreement with Metro Brands This strategic partnership designates Metro Brands as Clarks’ sole retail and digital partner in India and select neighboring markets, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
Having recently opened its 900th store in India, Raymond manages a diverse portfolio of both Indian and international footwear brands. The company remains committed to offering a comprehensive and relevant footwear assortment in premium retail formats, while also adopting an omnichannel approach, emhasises Nissan Joseph, CEO.
This agreement provides Clarks with a significant opportunity to re-establish itself in a growing market, leveraging a partner with extensive local knowledge and expertise across both offline and online retail environments. Metro Brands will manage Clarks’ digital presence, including its official website and e-commerce platforms, as well as all physical retail channels, such as Clarks mono-brand stores and other outlets selling Clarks products.
The partnership is expected to drive substantial growth for the Clarks brand in South Asia, benefiting from Metro Brands' well-established retail infrastructure and market insights.
