KVIC sales cross 1 Lakh crore

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), the statutory body under the Ministry of MSME, has achieved remarkable success in promoting khadi and village industries' products.

The commission recorded sales worth Rs 1.08 lakh crore until January 31, 2023, in the previous fiscal year. Furthermore, during this period, KVIC generated employment opportunities for 1.72 crore individuals.

In the entire fiscal year 2021-2022, KVIC reported a production value of Rs 84,290 crores, with sales reaching Rs 1,15,415 crore. This impressive growth showcases the increasing popularity and demand for khadi and village industries' products.

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission plays a vital role in promoting employment and skill development. The program provides aspiring entrepreneurs with credit up to Rs 50 lakh for manufacturing units and up to Rs 20 lakh for service units.

With its continued commitment to skill development and promoting employment, KVIC is set to further contribute to India's economic growth and rural prosperity.
