Rahul Mishra teams up with Reliance Brands for a ready-to-wear (RTW) brand

Designer Rahul Mishra has partnered Reliance Brands to launch a ready-to-wear brand. The joint venture brand will be launched on a 60:40 basis.

The brand’s collection will focus on mindful fashion, sustainability, and inclusivity, says Mishra. The ideas from his couture collections will cross pollinate into this RTW line.

It will be an an “easy-to-wear” line of separates, with strong Indian craftsmanship, which one can mix and match with anything, like denims, he adds The range will part handcrafted and part machine-made; since it’s not custom made, various sizes will be available.

Collaborations are not new for Mishra. His earlier collaborations with footwear brands like Fizzy Goblet or Oceedee, or his debut jewellery line with Swarovski have also been hugely successful.

In the last two years, Mishra’s couture business has doubled. In 2020, he became the first Indian designer to showcase at Paris Haute Couture Week, and went on to impress critics across five seasons.
