Farmland stubble is an untapped resource with the potential to address multiple environmental challenges. Tanga Charitable Trust organised awareness sessions to inform farmers and the community in Raichur (Karnataka) about the benefits of converting stubble to biomass.

In a separate initiative, Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd also partnered with Saahas to help improve the health of Arekere Lake in Bengaluru (Karnataka)– in collaboration with local communities.

It inaugurated a multi-year project in the presence of Sathish Reddy (MLA, Bommanahalli), BhagyalaxmiMurali (Area Corporator), and officials and activists that strive to restore the Arekere Lake. Residents, activities, and PWD representatives also participated at this event.

A survey was done–besides engaging with the community– to identify critical locations for impact. The goal is to gain the support and participation of all stakeholders in the community.
