Rinka Dhaka: joins PETA campaign to protest against leather use

DesignerRina Dhaka has protested against the use of leather in the fashion industry by joining a campaign by the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ India branch.
The video campaign has been shot by Deepak Aryaand shows how animals including pigs, goats, sheep, ostriches, snakes, crocodiles, and dogs are treated and ultimately killed for the leather industry.

The video was shared by both Dhaka and PETA on their respective Facebook and Instagram pages for World Environment Day which is celebrated annually on June 5.
In the video, Dhaka states that leather is the most polluting material in fashion.
Dhaka has pledged to go leather-free along with 32 other Indian designers after PETA India and Lakme Fashion Week asked them to do so for the environment.
