Shopsy launches new summer collection for kids

Shopsy

Expanding into the children’s category, Flipkart-owned e-commerce platform, Shopsy has launched a new summer collection featuring over 100 verticals. Offering dresses starting at Rs 150 along with kids ethnic wear starting at Rs 129, the collection also includes soft toys and school essentials for children up to 12 years old.

Focusing on the Tier II, II and IV towns and cities, the hyper-value e-commerce platform, Shopsy operates on a zero-commission marketplace model. Kapil Thirani, Head, emphasises on the platform's commitment to address the challenges faced by Indian households, where children frequently outgrow their clothes, and their demands for toys change each season. To tackle this problem, the platform onboards new sellers offering a wide variety of products at attractive prices, states Thirani.

The platform’s entry into the children’s segment aligns with a broader trend of companies and startups capitalising on the rapidly growing kidswear market by launching new products and services. Shopsy also aims to expand its kids’ selection further in the coming months, noting a strong demand for these clothes in Tier II cities.

Owned by Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, Flipkart operates several e-commerce platforms including Myntra, Flipkart Wholesale, Flipkart Health+, and Cleartrip. Flipkart offers 150 million products across more than 80 categories and hosts over 1.4 million sellers on its platform.
