Uniqlo taps Katrina Kaif as India brand ambassador

Japanese fashion giant Uniqlo is strategically expanding its presence in India, appointing Bollywood star Katrina Kaif as its inaugural brand ambassador in the country.
This move is aimed at capturing the attention of affluent Indian consumers and bolstering its market position. The 40-year-old actress will feature prominently in Uniqlo's Fall-Winter 2023 campaign, across various media platforms, both digital and offline.

Uniqlo, which entered the Indian market in 2019, currently boasts 10 stores, primarily in Delhi-NCR, with further expansion plans, including outlets in Mumbai. The brand's appeal lies in its versatile and casual clothing lines, attracting a broad spectrum of consumers.
In fiscal year 2022, Uniqlo India's revenue witnessed an impressive 64% surge to ₹391 crore, as per data from financial intelligence platform Tofler.
The retailer's FY23 financials are eagerly awaited, reflecting its continued growth trajectory. Uniqlo's association with Katrina Kaif underscores its commitment to leaving a lasting mark in the Indian fashion landscape.
