Designer Gaurav Gupta to launch a new collection titled ‘Universal Love’

Designer Gaurav Gupta plans to launch his 2021-22 collection titled ‘Universal Love.’ As per Vogue International, the collection includes conceptual lehengas embellished by shaded glass in the edgy hues of gunmetal, and hybrid gowns with multi-layered skirts and rainshower embroidery. Its highlight is a violet gown having a fan-like pleating. The color palette of the collection ranges from cosmic grey and asteroid pink to neptune blue and gilded gold. For the men, the colors include striking monochromes and stately teals, served against the backdrop of velvet tuxedos and flared trousers.
The designer has chosen to unveil the new collection with a couture film shot at the Taj Falaknuma. Gupta believes the current mood of the industry is that of self-discovery. People are looking at intimate affairs and conscious weddings of one hundred people. However, they still want to experience the magic and have that extravagant moment for themselves through couture and jewellery, he adds.
