Chumbak’s online business shows significant growth during pandemic

The online business of Chumbak, a Bengaluru-based lifestyle and home décor brand showed significant growth during the pandemic.

The brand posted revenues of Rs 40 crore for the financial year 2018-2019 and is currently eyeing a significant double-digit growth year-on-year and a triple-digit growth on the online front this year.

The online home décor and lifestyle brand also on-boarded Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan as its first brand ambassador earlier this year.

Chumbak, which operates on both offline and online front, is famous for its joyful fashion as well as home décor products.

Due to the difficulty on the online front, Chumbak has now devised an omnichannel strategy to boost sales. Around 45 Chumbak stores across India will now be linked to the website. Customers can shop on the website and the goods will be supplied from one of the stores so that customers can return or exchange from the stores if at all they are not satisfied with the product.

The company will stabilize at 50-60 percent of the businesses coming via the online route in the next few years as per projection.
