COVID-19 would raise a new world order

Sandeep Kataria, Global CEO, Bata Corporation says, he expects the COVID-19 pandemic to give rise to a new world order, a new normal.

Speaking at 65th Annual Convocation ceremony of XLRI where he was conferred the prestigious ‘Sir Jehangir Ghandy, Medal for Social and Industrial Peace’ this year he said, the world would see significant changes in the workplace in the next few years fuelled by continuing changes in the geopolitical map of the world, tech disruptions, global warming and markets that have been gathering pace over the last decade.

He said, India with its demography, stable democracy and the famed Indian resilience and jugaad would gain from these changes.

T V Narendran, Chairman and Managing Director, Tata Steel India and South East Asia, Board of Governors at XLRI was also present along with Fr. Paul Fernandes S J, Director, XLRI.
