Upcoming designers enthrall with standout performances on Day 2 of NIFD Global Design Carnival 2024

Day 2 of NIFD Global Design Carnival 2024 continued to enthrall audiences as students showcased their creativity, vying for a spot at the prestigious Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI. The day was marked by standout performances from Chetan Mali and Mahendra Choudhary of NIFD Global Pune Kothrud Centre who emerged as winners in the Fashion Design category.
Only 80 students from over 1,000 entries were shortlisted for the Design Carnival, with 14 advancing on Day 2. The competition was intense, with a distinguished jury panel offering invaluable feedback. The panel included renowned architect HiloniSutaria, fashion designer Monica Shah of Label Jade, creative entrepreneur NeerajGaba, and ShefaleeVasudev, Editor-in-Chief, The Voice of Fashion. Bollywood actor AmanVermaadded to the glamor of event as the host of the Carnival.
TanviAgarwal and Gungun from NIFD Global Hyderabad Himayat Nagar secured the first runner-up spot in the Fashion Design category, while RudraRane and Siddhi Jadhav from NIFD Global Navi Mumbai Centre were named second runners-up. The winners will have an opportunity to showcase their collections at the NIFD Global ‘The Runway; show. They will also receive significant cash prizes and mentorship from industry experts at RISE Worldwide, helping them turn their design visions into reality and leaving a lasting mark on the industry.
