Valentino enters luxury retail in India with first brick-and-mortar store in New Delhi

Marking its entry into the Indian luxury retail market, Valentino is opening its first brick-and-mortar at the DLF Emporio Mall in New Delhi. Spanning across 110 sq m, the store will operated in joint venture with Reliance Brands in India.
As per its new business model, Valentino leverages the strong relationships between its sales force and the customers to focus on its couture values of obsession for detail, creativity, and client centricity, says Jacopo Venturini, CEO. Combined with human capital and teamwork, these continue to drive the brand’s evolution, he adds.
The store will launch with the brand’s ‘Valentino Pink PP Collection’ of colorful womenswear. The store will also feature a selection of Valentino’s handbags, footwear, and accessories as well as a men’s offering.
The brand’s infectious romanticism, signature codes, and bold use of color strongly resonates with Indian customers, says Darshan Mehta, Managing Director, Reliance Brands. This partnership will help make the brand more accessible to its Indian customers and expand its customer-base, he adds.
