 02 June, Mumbai 2025

A leading global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate, Apparel Group has launched the iconic British menswear brand Ben Sherman in India. This strategic move is a part of Apparel Group's multi-brand licensing agreement with Marquee Brands LLC that aims to expand the presence of premium fashion labels across the GCC and Indian markets.

Established in Brighton, England, in 1963 by Arthur Benjamin Sugarman, Ben Sherman quickly became synonymous with British youth culture. The brand's distinctive button-down shirts, inspired by American Ivy League styles and infused with vibrant colors and patterns, resonated with the ‘Mod’ movement and other subcultures, cementing its place in fashion history.

Over the decades, Ben Sherman has evolved to offer a comprehensive range of menswear that includes shirts, suits, outerwear, and accessories. The brand’s unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship and modern British style has garnered a global following.

The introduction of Ben Sherman to the Indian market highlights Apparel Group's dedication to bringing renowned international brands to new audiences. With a robust retail network and a deep understanding of regional consumer preferences, Apparel Group is well-positioned to offer Indian customers access to Ben Sherman's rich heritage and contemporary designs.

This launch not only enhances India's premium fashion landscape but also underscores the growing demand for global brands that seamlessly blend tradition with modernity. Indian consumers can now experience Ben Sherman's legacy firsthand, embracing a brand that has defined British menswear for over half a century.

Lehar Footwears registers 313 % rise in Q4, FY25 net profit

 02 June, Mumbai 2025

The Q4, FY25 net profit of Lehar Footwears increased by 313 per cent to Rs 5 crore as against Rs 1 crore reported in the same quarter last year.

The company's revenue for the quarter also rose by 188 per cent to Rs 109 crore against Rs 38 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

For the entire financial year, Lehar Footwears reported a net profit of Rs 11 crore on sales revenue of Rs 277 crore.

The company’s footwear business experienced a 17 per cent year-over-year sales growth during Q4 FY25, driven by the introduction of new products in the premium low-cost segment. The commissioning of new machines for manufacturing EVA footwear also led to the successful launch of these products.

The company’s exports grew in the mid-teen percentage range during the year, establishing a solid foundation for future growth. Domestic sales showed early signs of recovery after a prolonged period of subdued demand in the low and medium segment footwear range, particularly from the rural sector.

Looking ahead, Lehar plans to expand into the closed footwear segment with the launch of sports shoes.
