For the second quarter Page Industries’ revenue from operations was up 15 per cent. Total expenses were up 19 per cent. Historically, this has been the best second quarter for the apparel maker in terms of revenue.
The company is well in line with its guidance of delivering robust growth on the back of strong levers such as increased shift in organised retail, increased branded innerwear demand and growing aspirations for global brands.
Page Industries, the exclusive licensee of the American clothing brand Jockey, produces 260 million garment pieces annually, with 70 per cent of the volume produced in-house and 30 per cent outsourced. It has 14 manufacturing units. For Page Industries, the sales momentum picked up significantly after the setbacks of the global pandemic. The premium innerwear and athleisure marketer saw increased momentum in sales across all product categories backed by expansion in its portfolio and existing network and is well poised and remains optimistic on delivering sustainable growth in the foreseeable future. Page Industries is setting up a new facility in Orissa. This will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capacity.The upcoming facility is spread over 6.5 lakh sqft and will add at least 20 per cent to capacity.
