The Titan Company’s Q1 income rises to Rs 3,519 crore
In its first quarter ended June 30, 2021, Tata group firm Titan Company’s total income increased to Rs 3,519 crore from Rs 2,020 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. The company posted a consolidated profit of Rs 18 crore against a net loss of Rs 297 crore posted in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Income from jewelry division increased to Rs 2,467 crore from Rs 1,182 crore in the same period last year. The watches and wearables business recorded an income of Rs 292 crore as against Rs 75 crore earlier. Income from the eyewear business stood at Rs 67 crore, compared to Rs 30 crore in the same period last year.
The other segments of the company comprising Indian dress wear and accessories recorded an income of Rs 14 crore as against Rs 4 crore earlier. Set up in 1984, The Titan Company is an Indian luxury products company that mainly manufactures fashion accessories such as watches, jewellery and eyewear. It is a part of the Tata Group and started as a joint venture with TIDCO.
