The Indian government has given the green light to establish the 'PM Mitra' (Prime Minister Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park in seven states across the country.
The move paves the way for the creation of a massive textile park spanning 1000 acres, costing Rs 1200 crores, in the state capital of Lucknow.
The project will bring together all aspects of the textile industry under one roof, providing a much-needed boost to artisans, weavers, and handicraftsmen in Uttar Pradesh. The government anticipates that the park will attract investments worth Rs 10,000 crores, generating employment opportunities and driving growth in the region.
The textile Park is expected to play a crucial role in the development of the textile industry in Uttar Pradesh, with the government focusing on creating a favourable ecosystem for the sector. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and world-class facilities, the park will be a game-changer for the industry, enabling it to compete with global players.
