As fashion week made a comeback in physical form after the gap of two years, the event drew many domestic and international buyers.
The exhibition area with fashion designers’ stalls displaying their collections was abuzz with activity over the five days of FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week.
The section was not just popular with buyers looking for designers’ appointments, placing orders etc, but also dignitaries who visited the fashion event.

Among the dignitaries who visited the fashion week were guests like Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Minister of State for Textiles and Railways, who paid a visit to the exhibition area and also interacted with the designers and motivated them.

Minister of State for MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma also attended the fashion week and was the chief guest at the khadi show by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).

Promotion and reinvention of khadi has been the focus of many fashion showcases over the years. Talking about the promotion of khadi through fashion, Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI, said, “I think cooperation, collaboration, alliance have emerged as the keywords to focus on during the pandemic. It is great to join hands with KVIC and work with our designers for the promotion of khadi.
