NIFT Delhi, a leading fashion technology institute, has achieved yet another milestone. The NIFT Delhi-developed Intelligent Skill Mapping and Rating Technology (i-SMART) has been named one of the top six winners of the STITCH for RMG Innovation Challenge, which was organized by BRAC in collaboration with the H&M Foundation and The Asia Foundation.
H&M Foundation has awarded i-SMART a $30,000 incubation grant for piloting i-SMART in Bangladesh and growing the global business.
"We are just at a loss for words to convey our thanks to all the stakeholders who believed in our solution, and are part of our decade-long journey," said Dr. Prabir Jana, Professor, NIFT Delhi, in a LinkedIn post.
We'll get back to you with further information as soon as possible." It's worth noting that i-SMART technology is credited with upsetting the present sewing machine operators' evaluation system, which is mostly based on quality and output rate.
The STITCH for RMG is notable for driving innovations to better the livelihoods of women workers in Bangladesh's ready-made garments sector and improve factory performance.
