Tarun Tahiliani closes day 4 of FDCI X LFW with luxury pret collection

29 March 2022, Mumbai:

Master coutourier Tarun Tahiliani showcased a luxury prêt collection with Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon as the showstopper at the just concluded FDCI X LFW.

The collection amalgamated traditional silhouettes as well as drapes with technology and aerodynamics.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor, Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu and Sanjana Sanghi were show stoppers for designers Punit Balana, Shivan and Narresh, and Pankaj and Nidhi respectively.

Eshaa Amiin, Suneet Verma, Ranna Gill, and Ananya Modi Jain also presented their collections.

Pankaj and Nidhi presented a collection featuring everything from contrasting shades and floral embroideries to statement sleeves and structured silhouettes.

Ranna Gill presented ‘Casablanca Calling’ which celebrates Marrakesh with a modern, playful collection featuring Uzbek motifs, florals, paisleys and stripes in vibrant jewel tones.

Punit Balana showcased a stunning collection ‘Lakshmi’ which was inspired n from the journey of a young, urbane, cosmopolitan girl, Lakshmi who is well travelled, has explored the world, yet is very rooted.

The collection blended culture and art form deeply rooted in Rajasthan. Presenting a collection in collaboration with NBA, Ananya Jain Modi paid ode to basketball culture.

Her all-weather collection featured embellishments inspired by a basketball’s court floor plan, the net, New York skyline, iconic NBA teams, and the NBA logo.

Designer duo Shivan and Narresh presented a collection inspired from Rajasthan’s Shekhawati region and its fresco paintings and murals, contemporised through a modern lens.

Suneet Verma’s collection, ‘The eternal lightness of being’ was dominated by black and red ensembles with colorful thread embroideries as well as structured silhouettes.
