FASHION FOR GOOD: Sort for circularity

Fashion for Good has launched a new initiative called "Sorting for Circularity USA Project" to focus on textile-to-textile recycling in North America.

The purpose of this 18-month project is to provide a snapshot of textile waste composition in the US and evaluate the business case for textile-to-textile recycling.

The results will inform investment and actions to scale collection, sorting, and recycling effortsKatrin Ley, MD at Fashion for Good was extremely enthused having stated," The platform/forum is extremely delighted to have taken up the Sorting for Circularity Project into new geography expanding new horizons by foraying and tapping into the North-American market.

LIVA's nature-inspired campaign: “Naturally Fluid. Naturally You”

Aditya Birla Group's natural fiber LIVA, recently introduced a nature-inspired campaign namely "Naturally Fluid. Naturally You" categorically stressing the thrust on the brand's core proposition of 100% natural origin fabrics. The campaign is a demonstrability featuring iconic celebs such as Miss India Universe 2022, Miss India Supranational 2022, and Miss Diva Popular Choice 2022, etc. to impress and drive a message home.
We have to mention here that LIVA fabrics are made from wood pulp and are eco-friendly and high on fashion. The campaign clearly inspires to raise and build consideration for nature-inspired fashion and is focused on targeting multiple platforms and categories.

Charan, Global Brand Head of LIVA, sent a very strong message articulating this campaign, “This exercise is primarily calibrated & directed to communicate the common notion that brands making a fashion-forward statement, wearing/buying sustainable fashion, sustainable apparel are two diverse sides of the consumer purchasing journey".

LIVA & Miss Universe'23 partner as the official fabric sponsor

18 January 2023, Mumbai

Participants wore LIVA capes in the swimsuit round. This collaboration echoed the need for circular and sustainable fashion, and also about strengthening awareness around fluid fashion like Liva.

“We are proud to be a part of a global event and represent a fabric made in India on an international platform. We are elated and excited to see our fluid fabric being draped around the most beautiful women at such a prestigious pageant”, says Sree Charan, Vice President, Head of Branding.

This is the first time in the history of the Miss Universe that capes were introduced in the contest, with the countries having the freedom to design them basis their creative sensibilities.

Aditya Birla Group’s fabric brand Liva partnered with the 71st Miss Universe, held in New Orleans, US, as the official fabric sponsor.
