Indian ethnic wear specialist SHR Lifestyles has launched its new ‘Beyond Special’ retail architecture, shifting its long-term corporate target to Rs 1,000 crore in revenue alongside an expanded footprint of 400 stores by 2031. Operating in a competitive consumer market, this milestone format signals a strategic departure from the brand's historically smaller daily-wear locations. The commercial objective is to optimize space productivity by capturing multi-category wedding, festive, and lifestyle sales under a singular roof.
Revenue polarization and regional positioning
The initial 5,000-to-6,000-sq-ft flagship opened at New Delhi's high-density Lajpat Nagar Central Market, functioning as the operational blueprint for a quarterly rollout across high-growth Tier-I and Tier-II urban hubs. Financially, management projects localized store yields of approximately Rs 5 crore annually, with marquee regional hubs structured to generate up to ₹10 crore per annum.
A capital-efficient transformation
Beyond Special represents a calibrated, capital-efficient transformation designed for long-term compounding growth, stated Sandeep Kapoor, Founder and Managing Director, SHR Lifestyles. Structurally, the destination format accelerates inventory monetization through real-time cross-selling. It integrates newer higher-margin verticals like sarees and men's ethnic wear - introduced in 2025 - alongside lifestyle accessories, directly mitigating the rising customer acquisition costs impacting pure-play digital operators.
SHR Lifestyles manufactures and distributes everyday and occasion-focused Indian ethnic apparel under the Shree brand identity. The retail operator maintains a multi-tier distribution network spanning domestic exclusive outlets, regional saree-centric formats, international locations across the GCC zone, and digital marketplaces. Backed by institutional capital including Series A funding, the company leverages an agile in-house design ecosystem producing over ten fresh design variations daily, converting current market trends into affordable, premium-positioned everyday ensembles for modern aspirational female consumers.
